BJP MP Jamyang Namgyal gets rousing welcome; dances with natives to celebrate Ladakh UT status

Ladakh MP Jamyang Tseing Namgyal, who became a national hero with his special speech in Lok Sabha after the declaration of Ladakh as a Union Territory, came back to his home town on August 11.

The young BJP MP was hailed with an inspiring welcome by the residents of Ladakh.

Jamyang Namgyal, who turned out to be an instant sensation overnight, was witnessed shaking legs during celebration together with residents in his electorate.

The kind hearted personality shared a special tweet along with a video recording of his special dance moves on Aug 11 where he can be witnessed waving the Indian Flag and shaking legs while passing through a jam-packed highway.

A heavy rush of bystanders and enthusiasts can be witnessed encouraging and taking pictures with him as the great MP carries on with his special celebrations.

During the past week, the Centre scrapped the special position for Jammu and Kashmir beneath Article 370 and divided the big state into two different Union Territories including Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Ladakh will act as a UT without a governing body unlike Jammu and Kashmir, which will have designated legislatures.

Participating in a discussion in passing of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, he stated that the residents of Ladakh had been struggling for UT position for the past seven decades.

Taking jibe at the opposition parties, the BJP MP had stated, "Only two political families of Kashmir will lose their bread and butter."

Namgyal also supposed that Kashmir bagged a big portion of growth funds, and Ladakh did not receive anything.

This made him the topic of appreciation and he got praised by Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior BJP leaders who shared the video recording of his influential speech in Lok Sabha.
