The RJ of radio show 'Morning No.1' on Red FM, Malishka has been an RJ for eight years and everyone's favourite voice to hear in the morning. Her show has won the Best Breakfast Programme/Show at the Indian Excellence in Radio Award earlier. Only a few know Malishka had trained Vidya Balan for Lage Raho Munnabhai in which she played the role of an RJ. She also appeared in film Tumhari Sulu. In short, she has made a name of her own.
So, on the occasion of her birthday, let's know what Malishka think about being in Mumbai and what are her thoughts on entrepreneurship.
Talking about her childhood, Malishka said, “I always wanted to be on stage. So I would round up the neighbourhood children, we would dress up and perform skits or sing songs. In school I would wait for Children’s Day or Teacher’s Day to be on stage. Though I can’t say I was very confident back then, but yes I did not suffer from stage fright.”
On being selected in Red FM as RJ, Malishka said, “I feel success is also about being at the right place at the right time and being blessed." She added, “It is not every day that you can find a niche and excel. At times, I am surprised at myself. No one imagined I would be an RJ, but that is what I am and I love what I do,”
“Once I tried to figure out who my target audience was. My team came back to me and said your spectrum is like 360-degrees. It is because my show’s content is meant for everyone. Maybe the language I use is of the masses, but the classes equally enjoy it. I have never held myself back," talking about her work she said.
Her take on entrepreneurship in India, “When you become comfortable in something then to leave that and start something else is very difficult. If you tell me today to quit being an RJ and start something else it will be very difficult,” she stated.
So when next time you are in Mumbai, make sure to tune to 93.5 Red FM from 6 am to 11 am.
Here's wishing the beautiful lady a very happy birthday and loads of success!
