As the super hit flick Dhoom has completed its successful 15 years, Abhishek Bachchan has written a heartwarming note about what the movie destined to him.
In his special post, Abhi wrote that the movie "changed it all.”
Abhishek shared his beloved memory of the movie that involved his dad Big B and movie maker Yash Chopra, whose son Aditya Chopra had supported the big project.
The Delhi 6 star remembered that after the first promo of the movie was prepared, Yash Chopra called up Amitabh and especially enjoyed it on the big screen and stated with huge pride, "Ladkon ne achhi picture banayi hai."
As per Abhishek's post, "Yash uncle (the great Yash Chopra) called my father to see it. He especially organised for him to see it on the big screen as opposed to the edit room. After seeing it and then making the projectionist repeat it several times, when they walked out together, I still remember Yash uncle saying with immense pride, Ladkon ne achhi picture banayi hai (the boys have made a good film). Coming from two men we had grown up in front of and whom we idolised it was the greatest stamp of approval ever.”
Dhoom is considered to be one of the most prosperous movies of Abhi’s profession. He donned the character of Assistant Police Commissioner Jai Dixit in it. The initial part of the series had John Abraham as the baddie, the second version had Hrithik Roshan and the third installment boasted of Aamir Khan as the rival.
Junior Bachchan was last witnessed in Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan, which also starred Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal.
Abhi is getting ready for his next flick named Gulab Jamun. The Anurag Kashyap’s film will bring Abhi and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan together once again.
Junior Bachchan has also shared a special and sensitive note where he re-counted his beloved memory of the movie.
He also said that his dad Amitabh Bachchan, and the movie director Aditya Chopra’s dad Yash Chopra’s support offered him “the greatest feeling”.
