Batti Gul Meter Chalu: Shahid Kapoor Delivers 3-Minute Long Monologue Without A Cut

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is directed by Shree Narayan Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. The film is based on social drama, as the director is more popular to deliver films like Toilet Ek Prem Katha, which has been also surrounded by the discussions for long. Well, Shahid is a spectacular actor and recently he shot a 3-minute monologue shoot without a single cut.

As per the recent report, "The monologue in Batti is even longer than the one that Shahid had performed for Haider. He rehearsed his dialogues during his break. When he came on the sets, he discussed the shot with director Shree Narayan Singh and delivered a cracker of a scene. Shree, Shraddha, Yami and the entire crew present on the sets started clapping for him."

However, Shree Narayan Singh revealed the scene is so deep and emotional and it will surely make viewers cry and said, "Even if I don’t put any background music in the scene, audiences will still cry watching it. Everybody on the set had become emotional while seeing him perform. I haven’t worked with many actors, but Shahid is brilliant. We have become good friends. We are teaming up again for a thriller set in UP."

Earlier, Shahid Kapoor said in an interview, “Shree Narayan Singh, in Toilet Ek Prem Katha, talked about issues women faced with open defecation. Now he has chosen the electricity issue which will make the film very relatable to the common man” Adding he said, “The story is based in Uttarakhand so I will be using a certain accent and dialect for the film. After playing a King, I will be seen as a small city lawyer.”

Shahid Kapoor has successfully wrapped the film's shooting and now the report says he will soon start the shooting for Arjun Reddy’s remake.
