Avengers: Infinity War Becomes 1st Global Superhero Film By Collecting $1 Billion Worldwide

The recently released Marvel movie 'Avengers: Infinity War' is breaking records at the box office. It jumped the 500 million dollar benchmark at North American box office. In its opening weekend, the movie earned 257.69 million dollars leaving behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It is also the first movie to reach this fast, earning one billion dollars at the box office globally.

'Avengers' is a franchise of the Marvel Universe where superheroes from different Marvel movies are brought together. In this movie, The Guardians of Galaxy and Avengers team up together to fight against the roaring villain 'Thanos'. Superheroes from movies like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Spiderman and some other Marvel franchise make an attempt to stop Thanos from collecting all the powerful Infinity stones. Thanos is also the villain in some other Marvel movies and is played by actor Josh Brolin.

Chris Evans who plays 'Captain America' shared an article on Twitter-

In India too the movie is breaking records of movies 'Padmavat' and 'Baaghi 2' at the box office which has made it the first Hollywood movie to earn this big amount of 200 crores. Currently, the overall box office collection of the movie is around 1.5 billion dollars worldwide. With an epic star cast, the movie has made it possible to set a benchmark at the box office. The total budget of this movie was between 316–322 million dollars.

Movie critic Taran Adarsh Tweeted-

The movie starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans has received 84% rotten tomatoes. The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Sequel to Avengers: Infinity war is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2019. Marvel Studios is also coming up with two other movies, Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel.
