Anurag Basu directorial untitled action comedy film gets a release date

Bollywood is not only blessed with talented actor or actress but it is also grateful to have talented and skillful directors. Anurag Basu is one among the bunch. He has given some great films to industry by casting amazing celebs. Film Barfi starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra Jonas is one example of how great director Basu is.

After directing numerous movies, he is back to show his magic on big screen. The director has teamed up stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi for his upcoming action comedy film. However, the name of the movie is not yet finalized although the shooting for the film has been going on since the past few months. The Manmarziyaan actor Abhishek Bachchan is the first one to begin the shooting for Basu's untitled film in Kolkata.

The untitled movie didn’t got the Mae yet but it has got the release date. The action comedy directed by Basu is scheduled to hit the theaters on January 24, 2020. As per the reports, earlier it was said that the movie is going to be the sequel of ‘Life in a Metro'. But, later on Basu cleared the rumours by saying that this isn't a sequel to Life in a Metro.

The untitled movie  is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Anurag Basu, Tani Somarita Basu and Krishan Kumar. Earlier, in a statement, Bhushan Kumar said that he is happy to have found the talented cast and called Anurag a master storyteller.

After directing this film, Basu will be directing  a romantic drama named Imali which stars Rajkummar Rao. The Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut was to play the lead in the film but few days back she has walked out of the movie.

Rao in 2018 was seen in horror comedy film Stree acting opposite to Shraddha Kapoor. The movie did very well at Box office. This year he was seen in ' Ek ladki Ko dekha toh Aisa laga'. The actor will next be seen in Mental Hai kya, Made in china, Turram Khan, Rooh Afza and others.
