31-year-old Anny Divya - a female aviator is the youngest female commander of a Boeing 777 aircraft in the world and holds a high position with Air India.
Yeah, you heard it right!
Divya tells CNN Travel, "I always wanted to become a pilot, from my childhood. I didn't have anybody around who knew about piloting at that time. I had no guidance...I just wanted to fly".
And when your parents are the one helps and supports you to live your dream, Divya's parents are the one who fueled her to go and pursue her dream.
She had been working towards her dream from a very young age and eventually succeeded when she was sent to learn flying at the age of 17. Then she finished her training at the age of 19 and joined Air India.
Even after all the obstacles like fighting the newness of the field, language barriers, cultural differences and overcoming a lot of prejudices, this young lady hailing from Vijayawada achieved all her goals.
She said, "I wanted to become a pilot, that's what I wanted to do. So, even though I was not doing OK initially, I was very determined to just do it".
The pilot is dazzled to learn that her work and dedication has inspired many young women to pursue flying. She also determined to become a trainer in the coming years.
