Amitabh Bachchan reveals why he would never endorse alcohol and smoking

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is one of the finest stars in the Bollywood industry. He is still the big name in the industry. He has been ruling hearts of his fans since ages now.  He is someone who is always in the prime time of his career. He has a huge fan base all over the world. He has still the same name and fame as he had at the start of his career.  He was even given the title of Big B by his fans.

The actor is a great public figure and most of the companies use him as their ambassador for endorsing their products. He is also into promoting tourism. He is also the main figure in promoting 'Incredible India'.  The actor is currently promoting the products in skin care, baby care, hair care categories and more.

Till date, he never promoted or endorsed for alcohol or smoking brands. Talking about the same, the 75-year-old actor said that he does not promote any product that has anything to do with alcohol or smoking as he doesn't consume them.

When asked what makes him take up a particular brand? He said, “If it’s a product I like or use, I go for it. But I don’t promote anything that has anything to do with promoting alcohol, smoking or Pan Bahar which I don’t consume.”

At the Kyoorius Creative Awards here on Friday, Amitabh was given the Master of Creativity award for his contribution in the advertising and marketing world of India, read a statement. On receiving the award, he said: “I don’t know if I really deserve this award but it feels great to get recognized for all the work that I did in the field of advertising.”

Coming to the cinema front, the Superstar is currently working on Thugs of Hindostan movie starring Aamir Khan in the lead role. The movie is being made on a huge budget of 210 crores.  It is an action-adventure film written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.  The movie is based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug.

The star cast of the flick includes Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ronit Roy, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub other than Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan.  The movie is set to hit the screens worldwide during Diwali on 7 November 2018.
