Akshay Kumar talks about BO clash between Bachchan Pandey and Lal Singh Chaddh

The last month of the coming year will be a great extravaganza for the Bollywood film lovers from across the world. In December 2020, we can indeed see the clash of the titans in the box office as Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey will take on Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chaddha.

When Akshay Kumar was asked about this clash, the actor said that the number of holiday weekends is restricted and it is not shocking if several big-budget flicks release on the similar day.

As per the actor there are 52 Fridays in a year and there are almost 200 Hindi movies that are being released every year.

The Hollywood releases 40 more movies than the Bollywood and the South Indian film industry and other regional movie industries are also not far behind. So the Bollywood film industry and fans should be happy when they have two big budget movie releases in a week.

He also reminded that during the Independence day weekend, there are three releases such as Mission Mangal, Batla House, and Saaho.

The actor said, "We have 52 Fridays in a year and even fewer holiday weekends. We make over 200 Hindi films a year while Hollywood releases 40 more and then there's the South industry and other regional cinema. So, we should be happy if we have two big releases in a week. This year, on the Independence Day weekend we had three, (Mission Mangal, Batla House, and Saaho) till one bowed out."

Right now, Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of his next movie by Jagan Shakti, which is Mission Mangal. The movie also stars other actors such as Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Taapsee Pannu, and Kirti Kulhari. The movie will be locking horns at the box office with the John Abraham starrer movie "Batla House".

During the launch of Mission Mangal's trailer, actor Akshay Kumar said that we don't need to be surprised at seeing multiple films clashing at the box office. There is no point in blaming anybody or blaming each other and we should just move along with it.
