Akshay Kumar Becomes The First Male Bollywood Actor To Cross 20 Million Followers On Instagram

Akshay Kumar is a self made man. He gained his name and fame in Bollywood industry without any Godfather. For several years, he was considered the most underrated actor because the box-office was ruled by the Khans. However, times changes, and the audience changed. His years of hardwork finally paid off!

Currently, Akshay Kumar is the highest paid actor in Bollywood leaving behind Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan. And now, he has achieved another milestone in his life. He has become the first Male Bollywood actor to cross 20 million followers on Instagram.

Akshay took to Instagram to share the good news with his fans. He wrote, "Here’s another #Gold from the good people at @Instagram. Glad to share, the first Bollywood Actor (Male) to cross the 20 million followers milestone is yours truly  Thank you all once again for the love  Sending lots of love and prayers your way."

Currently, Akshay has 20.3 millions followers. The closet actor to Akshay in terms of followers is the Box office king Salman Khan who has 17.8 million followers.

ShahRukh Khan has 13.9 million followers which is way too less in comparison to Akshay.

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has 9.8 million fans on Instagram.

However, if we talk about female Bollywood actors, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are leading with 25 million followers.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in Gold which was released on 15 August and faced clash with John Abraham's Satyamev Jayate. 

The film is doing wonders on the box office. It eaned about Rs 26 crore on Day 1 and till now it has raked over Rs 71 crore. The film is slowly moving towards Rs 100 crore club. The film also starred Mouni Roy.

Gold is a period drama that shows the historic win of Indian hockey team at 1948 Olympics. India won its first gold in hockey at Olympics as free India. The film is not just about sports, but also showcases the emotions of 1947 partition.
