The Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 51st birthday today. He was out of Mumbai for his shoots, but flew down to the city for the book launch of her wife Twinkle Khanna and also to celebrate his birthday with wife, daughter, his mother, and mother-in-law.
Well, they had a small private celebrations at midnight and Akshay cut the cake in the presence of some close friends.
Sharing a picture, Twinkle wrote, "Sometimes when you don’t plan things - it all falls in place - Happy Birthday to my lovely Mr K ! #birthdaybumps"
Akshay feels that age is just a number for him and we agree to him as he is more fit than us who are in our early 30s. Speaking about his growing age, Akshay said, "I actually don’t take this stress of the number in my head about turning 50, 51, 55, 60, or whatever. I still feel I can have a lot of fun... I still feel I can run fast, feel like jumping. A couple of days back, I was giving a shot for Housefull 4 and the jump wasn’t required, but I still did it. I forget that I’m 51 now and I should keep away from it... I’m still thinking that I am in my Khiladi times and just doing action."
This year is really special for Akshay as he has got the best birthday gift ever. He launched an initiate last year 'Bharat Ke Veer'. And now the Government of India has exempted the contributions from tax. Akshay says, "Bharat Ke Veer going tax-free is my biggest birthday gift. Thanks to the government, the Home Ministry, Finance Ministry, for doing this in such a quick way. The app is doing so well with civilians contributing for the families of martyrs (soldiers)."
He also said, "Because it’s tax-free, obviously more people will come forward. My dream is now to even get people and families whose son or father or brother have lost their limbs, on Bharat Ke Veer... Woh bhi haqdaar hain (They, too, are deserving). You can expand only when the money flow is more from the civilians’ side."
