Raj Kundra, businessman husband of Shilpa Shetty has been recently arrested by Crime Branch of Mumbai police on the grounds of him being suspect for allegedly creating pornographic films and publishing them through some app. Police has stated that they have evidence, including leaked WhatsApp chats, which incriminate Kundra in the illegal production of pornography case.
The racket first came under police's radar in February when the Mumbai Crime Branch had busted a racket, wherein Umesh Kamat, then PA of Kundra and model Gehna Vasisth were arrested. Kundra has been arrested now as the police found solid evidence against him.
Marathi actor Umesh Kamat has now come forward to make a statement. The actor whose name matches with one of the accused in the case was extremely upset by the fact that a media agency used his picture in relation to the case without verifying the facts. Taking to his Instagram handle, he shared a long note clarifying the situation and slammed the media agency for linking him with the case and called it irresponsible journalism.
He wrote, “Today, I went through a very outrageous experience of irresponsible journalism. In the search of one Umesh Kamat alleged involvement in the Raj Kundra case, my name was picked up recklessly out of nowhere and associated with the case without any verification of facts."
