Abhijeet Bhattacharya Tells The Reason Why He Stopped Playback Singing For SRK

We all have tuned into Bollywood singer's Abhijeet Bhattacharya melodious hit songs and usually the loved ones. Of lately, the singer made headlines for his heated arguments and politics of divide. He often spoke about his views publicly and not being ashamed of it. But what made headlines in Abhijeet's life, is his opinions which made Twitter officials suspend his account many times.

Once again the man of charming voice, Abhijeet talked about King Khan of Bollywood Shah Rukh and his fallout with him.

At the India Today Safaigiri Summit and Awards 2018, Abhijeet began to speak about his discord and said, "I made superstars with my voice. Till the time I sang for Shah Rukh Khan, he was a rock star. When I stopped singing for him - and I stopped singing for him - he came down to Lungi Dance."

Apart from this, he also revealed, why he stopped doing playback for King Khan in the first place.

Abhijeet said, "It was a very small reason I stopped singing for Shah Rukh. In Main Hoon Na, they showed everyone from a spot boy to everyone else, but the singers. The same thing happened with Om Shanti Om. Stars sang Dhoom Tana. It was my voice. But it wasn't shown anywhere. The self-respect was hurt. Why should I ask them to add my name? The problem is I don't lack anything. So why should I ask for this?"

Earlier, Abhijeet gave his voice as a playback singer for Shah Rukh's song and sang songs like Chalte Chalte and Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaun with many others.

We wonder if SRK has to say something about the same!

Talking about SRK, he will be next seen in Anand L Rai's ZERO which is every now and then making headlines be it for SRK being a Dwarf in the movie or Katrina drunk look. The movie will hit the theatres in December. Apart from Shahrukh and Katrina Kaif, Anushka will also be seen in the movie as a struggling scientist. The trio is reuniting with this movie after giving a hit Yash Raj's Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
