10-year-old Krishna took the judges of the reality television show The Voice Kids UK, with his fantastic harmonium rendition of the Bollywood melody 'Balam Pichkari' from the hit film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani's soundtrack.
The boy is of Indian origin hailing from London, named Krishna stunned everybody with his interpretation of the Bollywood hit. Playing out a mashup of Calvin Harris' viral move track, How Deep Is Your Love, and after that going ahead to sing and play Balam Pichkari, he influenced the judges' jaws to drop.
One of the judges, pop star Pixie Lott, was captivated by the vocals and the instrument amid the blind audition. Turning around to see who the entertainer was, the judges looked surprised and obviously inspired by the young boy's ability. An instrument exceptionally uncommon to Indians, the harmonium is relatively synonymous with traditional Indian music, making it an image of desi pride.
New to the instrument, judges like Will.I.Am (of the Black Eyed Peas), felt free to attempted to play Krishna's harmonium and the young boy gave the global performers a short lesson in front of an audience.
Moving to 'Balam Pichkari,' Pixie Lott even said "I think we'll need one now" about the harmonium. Going ahead to get some information about his outfit, they even respected his sherwani and complimented him on speaking to Indian culture with such pride.
The video has instantly gone viral, especially among Indians who are swelling with desi pride with this cute little Indian boy’s talent.
Krishna cutely carries a little Ganesha idol with him everywhere and even gave one to his now-mentor Will.I.Am. Now isn’t that just adorable?
